Transitioning Summer Clothes into Your Fall Wardrobe…

Hey my friends!

So this is officially the last weekend of summer here in the U.S. If any of you are like me, you are not ready to pack away all of your summer clothes, especially those flowy dresses. Well you don’t have to. You can transition some of your summer pieces into your fall wardrobe and here’s how…

  1. The maxi dress and the cropped wrap sweater:

I absolutely love wearing maxi dresses and I certainly am not ready to give up that flowy, yet comfortable feeling that dress provides. No need to stop wearing your maxi dresses now that the season has changed. You can move into fall wearing your summer dress by simply adding a cropped wrap sweater. And during those cold nights, you can throw on a pair of booties.

2. The high-waist A-line skirt and the cropped wrap sweater

I adore a great A-line skirt, especially when it is pleated or tulle. It is such a feminine and girly look. And I am all for that look! In this look, you definitely want to throw on a pair of booties to give it more of a fall feel. And yes…you can wear pink and white this fall.

3. The spaghetti strap dress and the white long sleeve T-shirt

I just know everyone has a spaghetti strap black dress in their closet that you’ve worn on repeat all summer long. I mean you can’t go wrong with a little black dress. And let’s be real, this dress is flattering on all body types. Why would you want to pack that away when all you need to do is wear a white t-shirt under that dress? I paired this look with black booties. However you can pair them with white sneakers (as shown on the model) for a more casual look.

4. The floral mini dress and the cropped sweater

I am happy to say that the floral trend is staying throughout the fall season. So leave that dress in your closet a little while longer and throw a cropped sweater over it. Lastly, put on a pair of those booties. I recommend suede or faux suede booties…

5. The skater dress and the cropped neon sweater

So one of my favorite dresses to wear other than the maxi dresses, are the skater dresses. The bodest is fitted and as it moves past the waist, it flows out. And if that skater dress has pockets, I am as happy as a kid in a toy store! Let me just say that a dress with pockets is the greatest invention. Ok I’m exaggerating, but you know exactly what I mean.

Now to get back on topic, pair the skater dress with a cropped sweater. In my example, I chose a black skater dress because I wanted to pair it with a cropped sweater in the latest neon trend. I also chose booties for a more casual look. However you can dress up this look by wearing a pair of heels (as shown on the model).

4. The blazer, the tank top and the pair of jeans

Now who doesn’t love wearing a tank top on those hot summer days. Tank tops are so affordable and a staple in many of our wardrobes. Personally, I have a tank top in every color. You can wear a tank with a pair of jean shorts, jeans, with a skirt and my favorite look…over a spaghetti strap dress. During the fall season, I pair my tank top with a blazer. So for those of you who always wanted to wear your tank top to work, here is your opportunity. I love this look because it is comfortable, yet professional looking.

4. The Jean Jacket

If all fails, this chica right here does not go anywhere without a jean jacket. I love my jean jacket because it allows me to keep wearing a lot of my summer dresses throughout fall. So if you are not into the cropped trend, get yourself a jean jacket and rock it throughout the fall season.

And don’t forget to pair these amazing outfits with my beautiful fall jewelry collection at https://www.nawaterman.com

  1. Holding onto my summer wardrobe for as long as possible, but making them fall friendly is ideal. I am loving neon sweaters and an oversized sweater over a dress for fall!
