Fibroids Can be Dangerous (Part 3)…

Hey friends!

So I’ve officially hit the 4 week, in other words, one month mark post surgery. How do I feel???

I could lie and say I’m feeling normal again, but I’m not. Before my surgery I watched so many YouTube videos of women who had open myomectomy surgeries and most said they started feeling back to normal after week 3. Now I’m a person who can tolerate pain and always pushes myself. I don’t know what these other women are doing, but I am not back to my normal routine. Don’t get me wrong, I am feeling much better than I have been, but not to the point that I’m back to doing my errands or exercising.I immediately felt bad watching those vloggers, but then I realized that I cannot compare myself to these other women. First of all, I had a vertical incision, which means a different healing process. Secondly, I had numerous incisions on my uterus, bladder and intestine. And lastly, my incision did not heal properly. The moral of the story…everyone’s healing process is different. Don’t ever compare yourself to anyone else. You have no clue what’s going on…

Anyhow, I’m going to wrap this up and just say that it’s okay to take it easy and allow your body to heal in its own time. Pushing yourself to get better can sometimes cause a delay in the actual healing process. Your body will let you know when you’re ready to get back into the swing of things.

Until next time…night night 💋
