I am 100% team apple cider. The funny part is that I am not an apple fan at all. As a matter of fact, I refuse to drink apple juice.
I know weird. However, I must say that I don’t understand the concept or fascination with pumpkin spice. Unlike apple cider that is made from actual apples, pumpkin spice has no pumpkin whatsoever in it.
Pumpkin spice is merely a blend of spices such as cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, ginger, and allspice. It’s literally called upumpkin spice because they tend to use those spices when baking pumpkin dishes, such as pumpkin pie. If you added pumpkin to your pumpkin spice latte, would you really like it?
Life takes you in so many different directions, but the one stability you can always count on is family? But is that really true? What happens when the people you love and sacrifice for turns out to be your worst enemy?
Let’s be clear, when I say family, I’m not talking about those family members that you don’t have a relationship with. Not those family members you see only during family occasions. I’m talking about those family members that you grew up with. The ones that you talk to all the time. The ones you would drop everything for just to do things to please them. You would give them your last dollar or your last plate of food if you had to. You get the gist…
What happens when you finally realize that these family members are self-absorbed? Your happiness means absolutely nothing to them. They are only concerned about their own. But all your life, you’ve done nothing but try to please them and get their love. Then, as you get older and want some happiness in your life, they start badmouthing you. You go through the motions and try to overlook it…
My question is, when is enough… enough? When do you finally say you’re done? Do you confront the person or persons? Or do you just walk away?
My birthday is officially 90 days from today. I have decided to do a customized 90-day challenge. The goal is to accomplish those challenges by December 7th.
What are those challenges you are asking???
Well, let me backtrack for a moment. Recently, I completed the 75-day soft challenge. Well, it was really a 100-day soft challenge, as I extended it for an extra 25 days. I enjoyed it so much that I wanted to do another challenge. I, however, wanted to customize it to goals that I have. I want to achieve and work towards certain things in my life. So what better way for me to focus on it? Challenge myself. I noticed that when I have a challenge, I work hard to complete it.
Since my birthday is coming up in 3 months, I wanted to challenge myself to complete things I’ve either been working on or things I said I wanted to do before the end of 2025. So here are the challenges I need to complete:
Reopen my online jewelry boutique
Learn to control stress
Lose a specified amount (5 lbs left to my goal weight)
Read a total of 15 books (just completed book #8 and started June 3rd)
Get pregnant ( the most important challenge I want to achieve)
Get higher paying campaigns
Post a blog once a week
Post on Instagram and TikTok at least 3 times a week
Save a specified amount of money
Journal everyday
I feel pretty confident in my quest to complete my challenges successfully. As I previously said, let the challenge begin…
