Blogmas #23: How to Have a Stress-free Christmas Day 😳

Hey my friends!

I know with Christmas being less than 2 days away, the stress and anxiety is building up.

Try not to stress too much. Here are a few tips I have to help alleviate a stressful Christmas day:

  1. Make a list – Write down all the things you need to do now. Don’t wait until the night before or the morning of to decide what you want to do.
  2. Delegate responsibilities – if you have people that can assist you, please utilize their services. Don’t try to take on everything by yourself. And don’t wait til the day of to ask for help.
  3. Menu planning – it is important to plan your meal. You need to know how much to make and what items you are making. If there are people planning on bringing a dish, find out what it is. You don’t want multiple dishes of the same food item.
  4. Prepare food in advance – try to prepare as many dishes as you can in advance. Sometimes we think because an item is easy to prepare, we can just make them the motning of Christmas. Believe me, if it’s easy and it’s not an item that is better the day of the meal, make it ahead of time. You can also prepare a casserole, don’t bake it, but instead put it in the refrigerator. The morning of your dinner, just pop it in the oven. This saves you tons of time and alleviates some unnecessary stress.
  5. Refrigerator space – this seems like a no brainer, but you’ll be surprised how many times someone has had an event and have no space to store the leftover food.
  6. Pick out your attire – one of my most stressful parts of hosting, is having your guests arrive and you’re not dressed at all! My suggestion is to lay your outfit out the day before. Decide how you want to do your hair and/or makeup by laying out all the products you need. And if you followed steps 1 through 5, you’ll have ample time to beautify yourself.

Until next time, night night 💋

Blogmas #20: Home Decor Tour 🏡

Hey my friends!

Can you believe we are less than 5 days away from Christmas? It seems like it’s coming way too soon. I am not ready to take my decorations down in the next two weeks. It feels like I just did my decor, although it was completed a few days before Thanksgiving.

I love my decoration so much. Not to toot my own horn, but it’s one of the best I’ve done. I’m usually an all white Christmas type of girl, but this year I decided to go with reds and golds as my main focal point.

Without further ado…here’s my Christmas house tour…

Livingroom

Diningroom with bar area and seating area

Kitchen with eating area and tea bar

I hope you enjoyed my Christmas tour. This year I only decorated 3 rooms. I usually decorate my office and master bedroon as well, but since I’m not entertaining this year, I decided to keep it to the main rooms.

Until next time, night night 💋

Blogmas #15: Favorite Christmas Movies?

Hey my friends!

What’s your favorite Christmas movie? Are you into the classic Christmas movies? I don’t think I’ve really watched a truly classic Christmas movie. I do love watching The Sound of Music. Do you consider that a Christmas movie? It has become a holiday classic although it has absolutely nothing to do with the Christmas.

Or do you like watching Christmas comedies? One of my favorite movie to watch is National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. I consider this movie to be a classic.

Or are you into those horror Christmas movies? Such as…

Or last but not least, do you prefer to watch Christmas cartoons? I’m not going to lie to you…

Every year I actually look forward to watching Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman and Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer. Now if those movies don’t scream classic Christmas, I don’t know what else does.

And I cannot forget one of my favorite Christmas movies that I can watch at any time of the year…

Who agrees with me on that?

So let me know what are some of your favorite Christmas movies? Maybe I can watch a few of them.

Until next time, night night 💋
