It’s been awhile since I’ve written a blog. When I first started writing blogs, I had a goal of writing two blogs per week. As you can tell, that has not happened for quite some time. I have really been trying to focus on my Jewelry business every chance I get. I still work full time as a Contracts Manager, so after I complete my day time job, my remaining time is focused on my Jewelry business.
As many of you know, I started my Jewelry business about 10 years ago. At that time in my life the only responsibility I had was completing college. My business was doing really well. I was getting so many sales that I recruited my mother into my business. The first five years of my business was the best time of my business life. I was filled with so much pride that people loved my jewelry pieces and wore them. It warmed my heart to know that people all around the world wore jewelry made by me, “N A Waterman” (you business owners know what I’m talking about)
After doing so well in my business within the first five years, year six I started having medical issues. My medical issues caused me to put my business on hold for about two years. I really wished that I did not have to do that. But the reality is, when you are a small business owner and you are the only one that designs the jewelry, although you have assistance with putting the pieces together, without a designer… you get it.
So now that I am doing better medically, I re-launched my Jewelry business last year and believe me it feels like I started a brand new business. I was naïve to think that I would pick up from where I left off in 2012. So much has changed. The competition is so much more prevalent now. With the ability to sell and advertise on social media sites, it makes it so much more difficult to stand out like before. So the goal I’m facing right now is how do I become a stand out again? What can I do to make my business successful again?
Have a goodnight my friends and I will talk to you all soon
