Hey my friends!
So I decided to do something a little different on my blog today. I am absolutely in love with some facial products I have been using and wanted to share them with you. I have always been into facial pampering since I was a teenager. No matter how busy I am, I always take the time out of my schedule to give myself a spa-like facial. Every Sunday morning (as long as I am home and not traveling), I start my facial routine at 7am.
I recently incorporated new products into my facial routine and thanks to Sephora for that. (Btw, I am not being sponsored by Sephora or any of the products I am showing you).
All you ladies that are Sephora members know that you get a sample product for your birthday. So in my birthday month of December I received the following sample and immediately fell in love after using them. Those products are amazing and I will get into more details about them shortly…
STEP ONE: I begin my facial routine by washing my face with either the Fresh Soy Cleanser ($38) or the Shea-Moisture black soap ($4.99).
.
STEP TWO: After I wash off the facial soap off of my face, I then put on this amazing mask that I have been using for years. This mask was first introduced to me at the Origins counter in Macy’s. Origins stopped selling it and I had to use an alternate product, but that product just didn’t work the same. In the last few months I have been drinking different teas to cleanse my body to help with my fibroid issues (that’s another blog coming soon).
Anyhow, the teas caused me to break out on my cheeks. I never had acne before, so the was quite disturbing to me. I immediately thought about this mask I used in the past and was determine to find it. So where did I first look… of course I looked on Amazon’s website. When you want to find something, believe me when I tell you that is the first site to look on. And as I thought I would, I found the Sekkisei Clear Whitening Mask ($24.37). Before you ask, no this is not a mask to lighten your skin complexion. This product gets rid of the dark spots caused by acne and also helps to prevent acne from forming. I use a foundation brush to apply the mask to my face. Make sure you cover your hairline and do not get any on your eyebrows, as it will pull your hair when dried. I leave the mask on until completely dried (about 15 minutes).
STEP THREE: After the mask dries, peel the mask off your face and rinse with luke warm water. Pat your face dry, leaving it a feeling a little moist because we are now going to add the Fresh Rose Face Mask ($62) over our face and neck area. The directions tell you to leave this mask on for 5-10 minutes. I leave it on for the 10 minutes for maximum results.
STEP FOUR: After your 10 minutes are up, wash your face off with luke warm water to make sure the rose mask has come completely off of your face. I then turn the water to cold and give a quick rinse. By rinsing your face with cold water, you are sealing your pores. You can use a moisturizer after you have pat dried your face. I personally do not need to use a moisturizer after I use this rose mask.
Now I know some of these products, specifically the Fresh products are kind of pricey, but they are so worth it. The products last for awhile, so you won’t have to purchase them quite often.
I will tell you that I incorporate steps 1, 3 and of course 4 in my daily morning routine for maximum results. You do not need to do that if you do not have the time, but I highly recommend that you try to incorporate the rose mask in your routine as much as you possibly can.
I hope you enjoyed this blog, as I enjoyed writing it. I will definitely try to do more blogs like this in the future. As you know, my goal is to make my blogs more personal and interactive for 2017. I want to engage with you all more. With that being said, let me know if you try or have tried any or all these products. I want to know what you think.
Until next time my friends… have a BLESSED Sunday
African black soap and shea butter have been a consistent staple in maintaining my clear skin. I thank you for introducing me to a few new natural products to incorporate in my facial routine…and yes, I appreciate Sephora products as well. I’m looking forward to your upcoming blog addressing fibroid information, treatment, pain management, etc.
