Is it me or lately when you look on Instagram, a lot of women are starting to look alike?  Everyone is getting the same contoured look, the same curvy body, same #ootd…OMG I could go on and on.  I feel like I’m looking at the same pic over and over again.

When did being your own unique self become obsolete?  Why do I feel like I am living in an episode of the Twilight Zone?  I always thought that the saying “Beauty is in the Eyes of the Beholder” meant something.  Does anyone want to embrace their uniqueness? 

Well let me be the first to say that I am embrace my uniqueness.  I love what I see when I look in the mirror.  I love my eyes, my nose, my curves and on and on and on!  I am not contouring my face to look like someone I am not.  Do not get me wrong, I am a fashion girl and love just about everything beauty.  I just feel we are taking things too far.

These are just a few things some women will do to join the latest trend I call the mannequin look:

1. Butt injections (to get that apple booty)
2. Lip injections (to get full, plump lips)
3. Waist trainer (although women have been doing this for centuries)
4. Lace front wigs (to look like a Kardashian)
5. Extreme face contouring (to get a smaller nose, bigger eyes and high cheek bones)

I am not saying that it is not fun to get glammed up, but must it get to the point where we start to look unrecognizable?  There is a difference between enhancing ones beauty and trying to emulate another persons beauty.  HELLO PEOPLE… it’s ok to be original!!!
