Blogmas #6: Top 5 Gifts for Men on a Budget

Hey my friends!

Have you started your Christmas shopping? There’s less than 19 days til the big day. I know as each holiday goes by, it can get more difficult to buy that perfect gift, especially for men.

Let’s be real, there aren’t really many gift options when it comes to finding a gift for that man in your life. I mean how many sweaters can one man wear? And how many tools can we possibly purchase?

I’ve come up with my top 5 gifts for men that are affordable.

Fragrance Sampler

The sampler I chose is available at Macy’s and cost $35. The great thing about samplers is that he can give each cologne a test run. He can then choose the cologne he loves best. Now you can purchase the full size for his birthday or father’s day πŸ˜‰.

Backpack with USB charger

Now I don’t know about you, but all the men in my life loves there gadgets and always need to charge something. This backpack is available on Amazon and it’s less than $25.

Grooming kit

I think this is a necessary gift. Just as we women love to pamper ourselves, so do men and they deserve it. This kit I chose is available at Target and is less than $20.

Amazon Fire TV Stick

What man doesn’t love to just chill and watch tv? What’s better than to get them the fire stick so they can stream some of their favorite shows?

Jewelry

Now you know I could not create a gift guide without some N A Waterman jewelry…

A great gift you can get that man in your life is a genuine stone bracelet from N A Waterman “Eye Catching Jewelry”. I bet some of you didn’t know we sold men jewelry. Well we do and the bracelets are all less than $30.

Now that you have a few ideas, happy shopping πŸ’‹

Blogmas #4 Workout Wednesday: Holiday Edition πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ

Hey my friends!

So we just had a huge feast for Thanksgiving and probably gained at least three pounds. And of course we still have two more holidays to look forward to packing on more pounds…

So what do you do when you want to enjoy the feast, but don’t want to pack on the extra pounds? No, you don’t starve yourself a week in advance. And no, you don’t stay in the gym an extra hour each day until the big meal.

Let me first say that it is quite alright to have a “cheat day”. However, some people take advantage of it. Having a cheat day does not mean it’s your opportunity to eat all the foods you’ve been craving. Remember that there is a big different between binge eating and cheat day.

Cheat day simply means you can incorporate foods, but in moderation. You still want to keep your portion control. And it’s also a good idea to go for a walk after your meal. If you live in the Northeast region such as myself, the weather might not be the best for you to take a walk. If that is the case, I suggest standing and/or moving around talking to your family members and/or friends. Doing this will help you digest the food, opposed to just sitting.

So the two key things you need to remember:

  • Portion control
  • Move around after your meal to help with digestion.

I hope these tips help. Until next time…night night πŸ’‹

Preparing for the Holiday Season🌲🎁

Hey my friends!

Now that Thanksgiving is over and it’s time to focus on what I consider to be the best holiday…

Christmas!!!

Are you just like I am and put your all into your holiday home decor? Do you sit, ponder and then execute a plan? Having a different theme each year can become costly. Let me tell you how I take some of the stress out of my planning and on a budget?

I plan my theme for the next Christmas season during the current year. I know you might think that is absolutely insane, but here’s the method to my madness…

Hobby Lobby, Target and many other stores discount Christmas decorations 70-90% off the regular price. If you know ahead of time what your theme will be next year, you have a game plan of what to look for. Last year I had a winter wonderland theme and knew this year I wanted a more traditional Christmas theme. I knew going into the stores that my focus was to purchase ornaments in reds, golds and greens during the clearance sale. I also knew that I wanted nutcracker soldiers and ballerina figurines. By doing this, I not only took the stress out of shopping for decorations this year, I more importantly saved hundreds of dollars.
